Authentic Collectables are very excited to present the 1:18 Scale Nissan Bluebird Turbo driven by Fred Gibson and John French in the 1983 James Hardie 1000. In 1983, Nissan Motorsport, managed by the late-great Howard Marsden was beginning to hit it’s stride in Australian motorsport. The James Hardie 1000 was going to be an all out assault with a three car team featuring two Bluebirds, the first driven by George Fury Gary Scott and two masters of the mountain aboard the second car, Fred Gibson John French. The third car was a Nissan Pulsar Exa, driven by Fred’s wife Christine with Bob Muir. Gibson and French had a long history with Mt Panorama, with Gibson having won the 1967 Gallaher 500 with Harry Firth and French having a Class win in the 1972 Hardie Ferodo 500 and also
